FRIDAY NIGHT FUN
Have you ever rocked to the sounds of TJ Brinson, formerly of TJ’s Pour House in Tarpon Springs? Gulf Harbors’ resident, Diane Rhodes, who is this year’s social director, brought in TJ to rock the crowd on the now standard once-a-month Friday Fun night. And rock we did. TJ not only plays the hits, but entertains the crowd with his sense of humor and knack for audience involvement. He reveled in doing all possible to embarrass fellow members, much to the delight of everyone else. That is, until it became their turn. What fun to laugh at each other, and to kick up our heels on the dance floor. Great way to unwind after the stresses of the week!
ANCHORETTES FASHION SHOW BENEFITS THE PACE CENTER FOR GIRLS
“Tea for Two”, the annual fashion show and luncheon sponsored by the Gulf Harbors Yacht Club Anchorettes, was held on Wednesday, March 30th. Fashions and expert MC-ing were furnished by Patricia’s Boutique of Brooksville. If you have yet to visit Patricia’s Boutique, a trip to Brooksville is most highly recommended. The expansive selection of beautiful attire ranging from sportswear to formals and wedding wear is unbelievable and must be experienced! A crowd of spoofed-up pretty ladies were catered to by the gentleman servers of GHYC, and enjoyed a delectable lunch of quiche and chicken salad prepared by Chef Dave. Door prizes were plentiful and the 50/50 raffle was won by a Gulf Harbors’ resident, who generously shared her winning with her table of current and former GHCA board members (just kidding! J)!
The Anchorettes were pleased to present a portion of the proceeds to the PACE Center for Girls, Inc., one of our favorite deserving charities.
